How is my plan personalized?

This is where the magic happens.  We’ll collect a variety of information, including:

  • your recent running history
  • preferred runs per week
  • preferred running days
  • preferred long run days
  • cross training workouts
  • targeted stretching
  • your goal on race day

All these factors, among others, are used to build your running plan while following best practices to prevent injury and maximize performance.

 

What if I need to adjust my plan after it's created?

Our plans can adjust easily to a changing schedule.  Open your plan and drag to re-order days to fit your needs.

How to I access my plan?

Run plans are accessed online through your browser or the RunSmart mobile app.

How is pacing determined?

Each run has a specific pacing strategy to help you build your fitness and avoid overtraining.  Pacing is determined based on your race goal and created across various run types: base, easy, progression, tempo, and interval.  Don’t worry, we’ll personalize what runs you receive based on your goals and comfort level.

What race or event distances are offered?

Currently, our plans are built for 5K, 8K, 10K, 10 mile, half and full marathon.  We also offer plans for maintenance and race recovery.
